Andrew 'Wal' Coughlan is a son of Swansea City - born within a stone's throw of the old Vetch football grounds. He has toured playing upright and electric bass with Gary Numan , Shakin' Stevens, Martyn Joseph , Mr Nice, KATRINA , Cerys Mathews , Colin Lloyd Tucker and Mal Pope as well as recording parts for films and TV including A Fish Called Wanda, All you need is Love and Upstairs Downstairs. He is the tireless , consistent , low-end groove machine and is often the go-to man for live music performances UK wide. On top of these shows , Wal owns and runs his music studio and plays an instrumental and highly inspirational role in encouraging young musicians and engineers from South Wales to get started in their careers. A true legend.
